The role of civil society in local government

The Building movement believes in focusing on the issue of local administration, as it is one of the main approaches to activating public participation and local development. Therefore, it launched within the program Local administration and development Since 2017, a civil campaign to support the roles of civil society and its participation in local governance under the name "Your Role campaign1" .
After four years of work, experience and civil activities, the “Your Role 2” campaign was launched, which was based on the lessons learned, experiences and outcomes of the previous stages, and focused on community interaction with local administration (its extrapolation and studying this interaction in terms of its content or social and civil carrier).
This campaign continued for three months to keep pace with the local administration council elections process. The “Your Turn 2” campaign worked to raise awareness of local administration and administrative decentralization, and to study the possibility of actually blending the concepts of (administrative decentralization, participatory decentralization, and community participation), to form a social and economic model that allows people the opportunity to participate in decision-making, through:
