Civil society activists and entities cannot participate in local administration or interact with local councils without empowerment, because this participation will be superficial, weak, ineffective, and unable to demand and defend any of the demands of the groups and segments they represent.
            Therefore, “Your Role 2” in the civil track was based on the empowerment strategy:

                Workshops:
The project activities are designed in an integrated manner through a series of dialogue sessions with experts and specialists in the media field, in addition to training sessions, workshops and initiatives carried out by local communities.

Designing dialogue track activities to raise awareness and motivate participation in the context of local governance as an integrated environment, in order to clarify the development roles that local communities, civil society and specialists can play to enhance the recovery process at the local level.

                Initiatives
Training workshops, discussion forums, film, and an interactive theatre were implemented, noting that the form of the initiative was chosen by local activists based on their vision and local knowledge.
