The movie"24 Frames" and the passion for image

The Bina Cultural Salon of the Nation Bina Movement screened this evening, August 25, 2024, the film "24 Frames" by Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami, produced in 2017.


The film represents an experimental artistic project by the director that he worked on in a dramatic framework during the last three years of his life. The film contains 24 short films, each four and a half minutes long, that are shown in an artistic kinetic framework inspired by still images, including paintings and photographs.


The film resembles artistic paintings due to its director Kiarostami's interest in the visual aspect and the composition of the image, and his passion for the image prompted him to make this film that gained wide fame.
