Photo Stories

February 2019

A new evening of photo stories was held at the Nation Building Movement last Wednesday evening, during which we, the participating friends, took them to different worlds through a photo dating back to the 1930s.
The stories carry in their details the architectural style and lifestyle of the Syrian Al-Jazeera rural (Al-Hasakah). From “How Much I Lied” by friend Muhammad Hussein, to “The Memory of Clay and Fire” by Rana Al-Sheikh Ali, and “Imagine” by Michel Dayeh, and from there to “The Rain of Life” by Amer Al-Sheikh Haloush, we saw the details of Syrian life in their writings that described the past in a simple and beautiful language.
