Photo Stories
January 2022
With the power of feeling and passion of imagination, the evening of photo stories returned this year with narrated stories that approached the social memory of travel and migration, people’s concerns, and political, social, and intellectual transformations, taking us on a tour through the magic of their worlds.
A beautiful, fluent, and conversational narrative presented by the beautiful duo, Mayar Habash and Jabr Al Hindi. The weather conditions could not prevent our friend, Lubana Ghazlan, from being present with us with her voice, which transported us to the world of her story, as if she was with us heart and soul.
With Hadeel Masoud, the image spoke and its truthfulness was close to the image that mimics the fifties. As for Kinda Stout, she was able, with her gentle narrative style, to attract our ears to fly with her in her beautiful story.
Four stories and five voices were enough to transport us to our visual memory, and were enough to take us back to this current reality in an interesting and beautiful narrative style.
After this distinguished presentation, the attendees agreed that “glory to the image”, “glory to its work” and its spirit at that time and in all times, which inspired imagination and creativity among the participants. The image of this evening dates back to the early fifties, to a number of workers who may have been in the Syrian Defense Factories Corporation.
