Photo Stories
March 2019
A new evening of the monthly literary event "Photo Stories" was held at the Nation Building Movement last Wednesday evening. The evening featured 6 distinctive stories about the photo taken in the 1930s in the vicinity of Aleppo, at a time when the Syrian bear (or what is called the Eurasian bear, which is from the brown bear family) was part of Syrian wildlife, and the sight of a wandering tamer with his bear was not a rare sight in Syrian villages and cities, knowing that this appearance has disappeared since the 1960s, coinciding with the extinction of bears from wildlife in our region.
The following friends participated in writing about the photo on this evening: Hasna Al-Sameh, Malak Al-Shanwani, Aya Al-Salem, poet Samar Taghlabi, writer Iman Sharabati, and critic and poet friend Fakhr Zidane.
