Syrian dialogue platforms

Sweida

With the aim of discussing the strategic options for Syrians in building their homeland and state, the first regional sessions of the “Syrian Dialogue Platforms” project were launched in the city of Sweida on Friday, September 2, 2016.

The project explores four main pillars: culture, identity and belonging, the form of the state and government, governance, national reconciliation and peacebuilding. It aims to establish a new methodology for political and social work to be based on plans and programmes, and to gather Syrians on the basis of their positions on them, and to motivate them to participate in shaping their future.

The session was attended by a number of political and social leaders in the province, with the participation of social and political leaders from the provinces of Tartous and Lattakia.
