Walid Qarsli Exhibition

On the eleventh anniversary of his passing, the Cultural Salon within the Nation Building Movement held an exhibition of the works of the Syrian artist and musician Walid Qarsli on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in which a group of his most important artistic works were displayed.

The exhibition included on its first day a short documentary film about the late artist bearing his name “Walid Qarsli”. The film was introduced by its director, Dr. Muhammad Qarsli. The film presented touching personal and artistic memories and moments from Walid’s life, such as his relationship with his close friends and the drawing technique he used, in addition to music he composed that formed the film’s musical background.

The film also included testimonies from a group of Syrian artists about the late artist’s works and his personality, full of life, hope and creativity. The film briefly conveys to us Walid’s philosophy in life and art, which is love.

It is noteworthy that the exhibition lasted for three days.
