In its response to the earthquake disaster, the government relied on a set of procedures and organizational structures, which generated a set of questions about the nature, mechanisms, and determinants of the work of these procedures and structures. It was necessary to produce written, drawn, or illustrated cognitive content that meets cognitive needs.

The earthquake disaster of February 6th revealed the depth of the need to move from immediate solutions to problems and crises to the logic of comprehensive treatment that ensures the sustainability of solutions on the one hand and the sustainability of preparedness in the first place for any societal crisis or natural disaster.​

Women's needs and protection in disasters:

This year, International Women’s Day comes to the women of Syria and they are not well. The successive disasters that are sweeping Syria affect all groups, especially women. With every crisis or disaster that occurs, we find a lack of consideration or delay in responding to women’s needs, whether in relation to protection or shelter requirements or even in relation to meeting women’s urgent natural requirements that do not change with or without crises.

Civilian response to earthquake disaster

After more than a week had passed since the earthquake that struck Syria, it was necessary to carefully read the civil response and the necessary and required roles in the near and distant future. Therefore, the Nation Building Movement dedicated a dialogue session on the civil response to the earthquake disaster, in which it brought together civil activists who participated in the humanitarian and relief response in addition to experts and academics.​
