The earthquake that struck the country on February 6, 2023, constituted a national disaster in all Syrian geographies that were already affected before the earthquake, due to twelve years of war.
The direct losses in terms of death, building destruction, and population displacement affected Idlib, Latakia, Aleppo, and Hama, but the indirect damages, in terms of urban, social, psychological, and economic aspects, extended throughout the length and breadth of the country.
Therefore, the movement’s response comes from its national, humanitarian and civil identity through the “Syria is One and Its People are One” campaign, which works on three tracks:
