Seed initiative

Specific objectives:    

• Emphasizing the importance of administrative decentralization and ways to activate it through the Local Administration Law

• Reviewing the concept of development, its types, its relation to Law 107 of 2011, and ways to invest local resources and external opportunities to achieve development

• Focus on the idea of ​integration between the work of local authorities and civil society to activate the work of local development committees in the city​
• Creating a communication channel between representatives of local activities participating in the initiative to develop development plans, each according to his specialization, in an integrated manner on a regional scale.

Initiative Description:

An interactive dialogue session was held during which a set of concepts related to the general objective of the initiative were discussed, creating a space for dialogue between a group of parties concerned with the local development process. During a group activity within the meeting, a set of problems facing the city were identified in order of priority. The activity was followed by dividing the attendees into groups, each group working to propose a development vision for the city of Salamiyah to 10 years, setting a set of strategic goals, identifying the obstacles and challenges that prevent the implementation of these goals, and proposing appropriate solutions for them.
